Ojai Wild is the artistic alchemical result of this energetic spark. It is an inspired raw fragrance collection embodying the force of nature’s essence through botanical extractions.

Alongside organic botanicals and roots from our farm in the Ojai Valley, our hand-gathered materials are ethically sourced from trees, shrubs and fields grown on established estates and ranches all around California. These raw materials are then extracted and poured into glass containers. Each cologne is composed of the raw botanical extract married with a harmonious blend of essential oils and absolutes—some of which are aged up to 35 years.

CHAMOMILE FLOWERS--limited edition

Exquisite balance of green, sweet and floral. A glaze of grapefruit and cognac overtones mingle with the floral, balsamic, wood notes of Indian Champaca flower, Linden blossom, Tonka bean, Australian sandalwood, Bigarade Neroli and Salvia apiana Sage – in a gorgeous backdrop of raw Chamomile flower extract. Floral, balsamic and graceful.

JUNIPER BERRY

Combines the extract of fresh juniper berry needles and cones with notes of cedarwood Texas, Hawiian sandalwood, morning coffee and fresh petitgrain Corsica. Coniferous, sparkling and joyful.

PINK PEPPERCORN

Combines the extract of fresh pink peppercorn with notes of fruity cassis, floral jasmine and Italian bergamot. Floral, spicy and evocative.

REDWOOD LEAVES

Combines the extract of fresh extract of redwood leaves with notes of angelica root, blond tobacco and honey-like, floral chamomile. Musk, leather and mysterious.

WHITE SAGE LEAVES

Combines the extract of fresh white sage leaves with notes of guiacawood, jasmine and crisp citrus. Herbal, smokey and elegant.

After moving in the 90’s to the Ojai Valley of California’s Central Coast, Janna Sheehan was inspired by the region’s distinct landscape of chaparral, oak trees, wildflowers and citrus orchards. She developed an intimate relationship with this environment – and, in particular, its smells. Her olfactory connection to Ojai inspired her to give back to the land that had renewed her creative spirit with her first handcrafted line of fragrances: Trance Essence.

Over the years, Sheehan acquired a deep knowledge of the raw materials used in the art of perfumery, as well as a keen understanding of aromatic balance. She strives to create artisanal and distinct fragrances that honor the individuality of the wearer. At the same time, Sheehan’s scents open up the potential to renew and rediscover a relationship to your own body, mind and desires.

Today, Janna designs unique fragrances in her Ojai-based perfume studio as well as collaborates on unique fragrance projects in the fashion and art world. Sheehan’s newest line of fragrances embodies all that Ojai has to offer.
